Govetment Museum
Government Museum in Kanyakumari is treasure house for antiques and artifact collections. It was built and opened for public in 1991. Since then the museum contnues to displays many rare ancient collections. This museum is the best place to learn the ancient culture and history of South India. Some of the notable antiques displayed here are, ancient coins of east India, tribal objects, wood carvings, musical instruments, historic weapons, depiction of specimens related to natural history, whale bones and more.
